Ok so this is interesting to me... I was just discussing things with my father about all these hurricanes and I think there is just something very evil brewing out there.... Florida keeps getting nailed.... anyway this may be WAY off topic a bit and a bit of a sensitive subject but it does involve all of us... From what I understand of it .. in the Bible it says that the people who see Isreal become a Nation are the ones that will see the end times as we know it here. Isreal became a Nation in the 50s I believe and it also says that when this happens the Anti-Christ is born. So if this is true.. he is with us today and in his 50s. He is supposed to have all these answers to all these problems and once we trust him he will turn on us. It also says the only survivors of the outcome of all of this will be the yellow man (japanese)... so.... if the sh*t starts hitting the fan u know where I will be.... There will be a new stamp in my passport!

interesting... i hadn't heard any of that before - are you sure that's in the Bible?
i have heard that weather will be vicious and unpredictable..seasons will no longer be seasons...

anyway, i dont know whether or not the stuff w/ the antichrist being born when israel becomes a nation is true. however, the end times have definitely crossed my mind on more than one occasion (just as people in the past have thought that the end times were upon them) - and i just cant see how the world can get any worse than it is right now. but anythings possible.
my understanding of the antichrist is that he will be an extremely charismatic and able leader who will bring peace (ESP in the middle east) and prosperity and will seemingly work "miracles" (prob medical miracles) and it will be very hard to resist falling in love with him. many people will be misled. prob even the pope will be his instrument. and i've heard there will be a "false prophet" who will work with him as well - saying that he is a new Christ -- and the 3 of them -- the anti-Christ, pope, and false prophet - represent an anti-Trinity, who would rule over a new-world order with a one-world religion (dangerous because it totally ignores the fact that JESUS (whom Satan hates MOST) came to earth and died for our sins - it just focuses on a GOD who can be anything a person makes it out to me). there will also be persecution of christians... unlike ever known before in history. his reign will last for 7 years.

anyway, these are all speculations. what we do know is that man will not be able to predict when end times will come. the only thing to do in that case is to always be ready and to have faith.

very controversial topic. :)

You could possibly be right thou they could all tie together. I have also thought of end times as it has crossed my mind alot lately and I have also thought how people in the past have thought the same thing. But it has happened in the past, and it will happen again. The question is will we see it in our lifetime. Possibly yes! Things are deffently changing. What ever it is brewing out there it is thick and very evil.
and I know Bush has made alot of mistakes but I dont think he is a bad person.... I think he is just trying to defend his country and not let the enemy see us back down which is supposed to be the "American Way". Kerry on the other hand to me looks very fake to me. I dont like the feelings I get about him even thou I really dont know anything about him.

its in the book of revelations._ some even prophesied even in the early old testiment. but the bible is a book where you break apart and look for deeper meanings than what you actually see.
if you are interested i could send you actual scriptures. i use to study the bible on an every day basis.
it even includes europe empire.( united kingdom) the falling of the united states, and the currency change.

will write more in response to your other comments, later, when i have more time,
but i just wanted to make a quick comment that the pope himself is very much against the war in Iraq... and in fact he used such strong language against it as to say that not only is it an immoral war, but that this war would "unleash the gates of hell". there's no messing with that, in my view.

The pope disagrees with any act of violence, even if it is in defense of a violent act. Didn't he advise the US to not attack Afghanistan?

Please don't take these comments as me dissing on the Pope. I am Catholic, and I think Pope John Paul II is very wise and a good advisor. But he is not the leader of a country.
