[it just doesn't work] where did iPhone SMSD go?

so, trying to find a fix for yet another iphone suckage. SMS service is quite weak as most of you know.
I installed (via Installer) the SMSD yesterday, something didn't go well and the program is crashing back to desktop. So, i started digging for docs, new version anything.

and.. it's like it's been wiped off the face of the internet.. or at least http://code.google.com/p/iphone-smsd/, which is referred by all the blogs praising the goodness, gives me a "Forbidden". Well, maybe it's just not being familiar with code.google but I starting to suspect that apple approached the maintainer (or google?) with an offer he couldn't refuse..

Anyone played/hacked their iphone's SMS program? got any favourites? I see weSMS, aSMS (to be used with a remote browser)
converting VGA to HDMI or component video (Y/Pb/Pr)?

So, this weekend we've joined the HDTV family. 42" Phillips 9632, the ambilight.

And with a new TV comes a lot of fun connecting things to it.. and so far i was able to get my laptop on it via S-video, where nvidia driver decides that 1024x768 is all it should do for that connection.
Got no DVI or HDMI on this card (nvidia 8600), so i was thinking on making use of the VGA port, but that's going analog -> digital which sounds like i'll need some serious converter.

i found a few decent ideas googling this but figured i'll bring this up here too. anyone played with stuff like that?

The Machine is Us/ing Us ("Web 2.0" in just under 5 minutes.)

while reading up on yet another attempt to define the 2.0 I came across this vid.
liked it, shared it.

http://mediatedcultures.net

I considered releasing it as an "eternal beta" in true Web 2.0 style, but decided to let it stand as is and start working on future projects. Many of my future videos will address the last 30 seconds of this video (the "rethink ..." part).

I received many more positive comments than negative about the song choice (great work Deus!), but if you are one of those who does not like the song just download the video and change the audio track to your liking.

The video was created by Michael Wesch, working alone from his house in St. George,
